Coming in second with 311,162 square feet developed in 2016-2017 and 248,850 square feet currently under construction, the Atlanta Business Chronicle specifically noted Halpern’s now-open Belmont retail development, Belmont Phase II retail (currently pre-leasing), and the Belmont Physicians Center, anchored by Emory Healthcare and opening in December. Halpern opened several other centers during this time period — Dawson Crossroads in Dawsonville, Ga. and Ogden Marketplace in Wilmington, N.C. Ocean Isle Market Place is currently under construction in Ocean Isle Beach, N.C., as is Leesville Market Place in Raleigh, N.C.
