Halpern has secured a new lease agreement with Chris Escobar, owner of The Plaza Theatre in Midtown Atlanta, for the Tara Theatre at Cheshire Square. Escobar and his team plan to reopen the acclaimed movie house this Spring.
“We are gratified by the positive response this announcement has elicited from the community and proud to have recruited Chris Escobar and his team to launch this next chapter in the life of the Tara Theatre,” said Jack Halpern, Halpern Enterprises Chairman & CEO.
Halpern has owned and managed Cheshire Square since 1971. The shopping center is anchored by Publix and features some of Atlanta’s most popular restaurants, including The Original Pancake House, Hajime and Rain Thai Sushi & Bar.
