Village at New Georgia partnered with the New Georgia Public Library and celebrated reading with Peter Rabbit and, his favorite friend, Mr. Springtime. Instead of hosting the annual Easter event at the shopping center, Halpern Enterprises Inc. partnered with the library directly across the street. Families listened to stories under the shaded gazebo and hunted for Easter eggs in the large outdoor backyard. Over the 3-day event, 300+ kids, big and small, scrambled for eggs to fill their baskets, took photos with Peter Rabbit, received gift bags filled with Publix treats, and participated for drawings from retailers such as Emmie and J Boutique.
“The parents and kids couldn’t stop talking about how much fun they had! Many of these are library regulars and this was our best event, ever. None of this would have been possible without the great tenant participation at Village at New Georgia and all of Halpern’s generosity,” said Jennifer Ramsey, Children’s Specialist, New Georgia Public Library.
