A new Taco Bell® has opened on a Halpern-owned land parcel at 319 N. Hwy 49 property in Byron, Georgia. Halpern signed a ground lease with the restaurant’s owner, Birmingham-based Tacala Companies, a Taco Bell franchisee that operates more than 325 locations.
“Byron’s growing retail corridor along Hwy 49 is the perfect location for Taco Bell and gives the community more accessible dining options,” said Halpern Development Manager Brad Oppenheimer. “We enjoyed working with Tacala and look forward to seeing their restaurant thrive.”
Taco Bell is situated off I-75 at exit 149, next to the new Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, Chick-fil-A and Dunkin’ restaurants. In 2021, Avid Hotel, an IHG Hotel & Resort brand, built a new hotel just down from Taco Bell. Byron is located south of Macon and northwest of Warner Robins and offers convenient north/south access via I-75.
Halpern is marketing an additional 0.62 acres on Hwy 49 for sale, lease or build-to-suit. The site features a 2,800-square-foot building that previously housed a Pizza Hut restaurant and is designed for a drive-thru. Contact Brad Oppenheimer for more information
