Halpern Enterprises, Inc. announces the opening of Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar at Jonquil, the company’s 11-acre mixed-use development located at 2995 Atlanta Road SE in Smyrna, Ga. The 3,519-square-foot restaurant features a 1,200-square-foot rooftop bar and patio.

“Bad Daddy’s brings a fun new dining concept to the area, and we’re thrilled Jonquil was selected for the brand’s second Georgia restaurant,” said Jack Halpern, chairman of Halpern Enterprises. The first Bad Daddy’s location opened in Chamblee earlier this year.

According to CEO Boyd Hoback, the Denver-based chain was attracted to Smyrna’s solid demographics and chose Jonquil for its prime location at the intersection of Atlanta Road and Spring Road, proximity to The Battery and SunTrust Park and dense residential population.

Developed by Halpern in 2016, Jonquil is anchored by Publix and includes Newk’s Eatery, Willy’s Mexicana Grill, Smyrna Dentist Office, PT Solutions, LGE Credit Union and Great Clips, as well as a 266-unit luxury apartment complex by Wood Partners.

Halpern also built The Shops at Belmont mixed-use development at Windy Hill and Atlanta Roads. “We have been investing in the Smyrna community for more than 50 years,” said Halpern. “We’re honored to be part of the city’s growth and transformation.”
