Halpern Enterprises, Inc. announces the opening of Publix supermarket at Ocean Isle Beach Market Place in Ocean Isle Beach, N.C. Publix anchors the 55,000-square-foot shopping center located at Beach Dr. SW and Causeway Dr., adjacent to Ocean Isle Beach Airport.
“We are very excited to have Publix at Ocean Isle Beach Market Place,” said Halpern President Bill Brown. “As a community partner, Publix provides residents and the half million visitors who travel to the island every year essential goods and services, and also brings more than 100 jobs to the island.
Ocean Isle Beach Market Place has 5,470 square feet of inline space remaining for lease and four outparcels available for sale, ground lease or build-to-suit. Tenants include The Preppy Pineapple, an apparel and gift shop, opening in May, and Noire the Nail Bar, Backstreet Café and an additional restaurant concept coming soon.
Ocean Isle Beach Market Place is the seventh shopping center Halpern has built or redeveloped with a Publix anchor and the second in North Carolina. Ogden Market Place in Wilmington opened last November. The company has seven other properties in development with Kohl’s-anchored Piedmont Marketplace in Greer, S.C., Publix-anchored Leesville Market Place in Raleigh, and The Shops at Belmont Phase II, part of a 48-acre mixed use project in metro Atlanta, scheduled to open later this year.
