In partnership with We Love BuHi, Halpern hosted a food distribution event on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Pinetree Plaza shopping center on Buford Highway.
Volunteers from Halpern and We Love BuHi distributed fresh produce, eggs and tortillas to 500 families, reaching approximately 2,000 people who live along the Buford Highway corridor.
Feeding Families of Buford Highway is a food giving and resource initiative to aid struggling families in our community. Planned and executed by We Love BuHi with the help of volunteers, the Saturday morning food drives are held at various shopping centers and venues on Buford Highway where community members are invited to pick complimentary boxes of fresh foods while supplies last. Saturday marked the second time Pinetree Plaza hosted the event.
