Halpern Enterprises, Inc. announces Burlington Stores, Inc., a national off-price retailer offering everyday low prices on customers’ favorite brands for the entire family and home, is opening a 20,000-square-foot retail location at North Griffin Square, a 226,694-square-foot shopping center at 1617 North Expressway in Griffin, Georgia.
“We are pleased Burlington chose North Griffin Square and have confidence in the store’s ability to add value to the shopping center and the Griffin community,” said Halpern Regional Leasing Director Dan Gagne.
Founded in New Jersey in 1972 as a family business, Burlington has grown into a Fortune 500 Company and operates 927 stores as of the end of Fiscal 2022 in 46 states and Puerto Rico. The Griffin store is expected to open this summer.
Built by Halpern in 1979, North Griffin Square is anchored by Belk, Bealls and Big Lots, with national retailers PetSmart, T-Mobile, Little Caesars, Longhorn and Starbucks. Halpern is finalizing an exterior improvement program at the property that includes modernizing building facades, raising parapets to increase tenant visibility and adding landscaping enhancements to the parking lot.
North Griffin Square is located at the busy intersection of GA-92 and US Hwy 19/41, 1 mile from Southern Crescent Technical College and minutes from downtown Griffin. The center is adjacent to Halpern-owned Griffin Crossroads, which is shadow-anchored by Walmart Supercenter and includes Marshall’s, PetSense, Hibbett Sports, rue21 and Great Clips.
