Halpern Inks Leases with Marshalls & Five Below at Ingles Shopping Center in North Georgia

Halpern Enterprises, Inc. announces it has signed leases with Marshalls and Five Below to open new stores in 2024 at Old Orchard Square, a 131,200-square-foot neighborhood center at 110 Old Orchard Square in Ellijay, Georgia. Five Below will occupy 8,450 square feet and Marshalls will replace the 18,000-square-foot Black Bear Antiques store.

“Old Orchard Square’s location along East Ellijay’s main thoroughfare positions Marshalls and Five Below to capture local and visitor retail traffic and provide the community with convenient shopping options,” said Halpern Regional Leasing Director John Brozovic.

Founded in 1956, Marshalls is a national off-price department store owned by TJX Companies, whose brands include TJ Maxx, HomeGoods, Sierra, and Homesense. Marshalls operates more than 1,000 stores across the U.S., including 41 in Georgia. Five Below opened its first store in 2002 and has expanded to 1,300 locations throughout the country. The retailer offers a variety of products, from toys and games to arts and crafts, with most items priced between $1 and $5.

Owned by Halpern since 1994, Old Orchard Square is a mile from Gilmer Middle and High Schools and minutes from Chattahoochee National Forest. The shopping center’s tenancy is anchored by a 68,000-square-foot Ingles grocery store and includes BenchMark Physical Therapy, Okinawa Restaurant, United States Postal Service, Pizza King and Farmer’s Home Furniture.
