Halpern Enterprises, Inc. announces it has completed a 10,500-square-foot lease with Dollar Tree at Spalding Square, a 75,000-square-foot neighborhood shopping center at 1120 Zebulon Road in Griffin, Georgia. The store plans to open this summer.
“The strategic placement of this store at Spalding Square fills a retail void on the south side of Griffin,” said Halpern Leasing Director Dan Gagne, who negotiated the lease with Dollar Tree. “The new location will also stimulate economic activity in the area and create jobs.”
Dollar Tree is a Fortune 200 company headquartered in Chesapeake, Virginia, with 16,500 discount variety stores in 48 states and five Canadian provinces.
Anchored by Roses, a regional discount store, Spalding Square is situated within a dense, established residential population, across from Griffin/Spalding County Airport, one mile from downtown Griffin, and minutes from WellStar Spalding Regional Hospital.
Halpern Enterprises owns and operates four shopping centers in Griffin: Spalding Square, Crossroads Business Park, Griffin Crossroads and North Griffin Square. The properties total over 450,000 square feet and feature more than 80 restaurants, retailers and service providers.
Franklin Street’s Maggie Coppage and Sterling Hale represented the tenant in the transaction.
