Congratulations to Regional Leasing Director Benjamin Halpern for receiving the Power Broker Award from CoStar Group, Inc. for Top Retail Leasing in Q1 2021. CoStar’s Power Broker Awards recognize commercial real estate’s top leasing and sales brokers in the United States and Canada.
“I’m honored to receive this award from CoStar alongside Atlanta’s top leasing professionals,” said Halpern who has been employed at the company since 2008. Halpern achieved his spot on the top broker list for negotiating a 25,000-square-foot lease for Beauty Now at Sugar Hill Station, a 144,425-square-foot shopping center at 4450 Nelson Brogdon Boulevard, NE, in Sugar Hill, Georgia. Halpern also made the list the last two quarters of 2020 for completing a 17,656-square-foot lease for dd’s Discounts at Pinetree Plaza in Doraville and a 33,750-square-foot lease for O’Reilly Auto Parts in Sugar Hill.
As a member of the company’s third generation of family employees, Halpern is responsible for establishing relationships with prospective tenants and retail brokers, negotiating leases on the company’s behalf, and increasing occupancy and rental income. Halpern manages nearly 750,000 square feet of leasing activity at 16 properties across the southeast.
