Marshalls has opened a new 18,000-square-foot store at Old Orchard Square, replacing Black Bear Antiques at the 131,200-square-foot Ingles-anchored center in Ellijay, Georgia. Discount retailer Five Below opened at the property earlier this year.
Founded in 1956, Marshalls is a national off-price department store owned by TJX Companies, whose brands include TJ Maxx, HomeGoods, Sierra, and Homesense. Marshalls operates more than 1,000 stores across the U.S., including 41 in Georgia.
Owned by Halpern since 1994, Old Orchard Square is a mile from Gilmer Middle and High Schools and minutes from Chattahoochee National Forest. A 68,000-square-foot Ingles grocery store anchors the shopping center, which includes BenchMark Physical Therapy, Okinawa Restaurant, United States Postal Service, Pizza King and Farmer’s Home Furniture.
