As Halpern’s President, Bill oversees the development and leasing departments, works with the family on strategic initiatives and serves as a mentor to the third generation.
Throughout his thirty plus year career, Bill has been involved in the development of more than 15 million square feet of property, while holding positions in management, finance, development, leasing and project coordination.
Prior to joining Halpern, Bill co-founded Forum Development Group, LLC, a specialty mixed use developer and was Senior Vice President of Thomas Enterprises, Inc., a large power center developer, overseeing development and leasing. He also served as President of Merchants Resource Realty, Inc., a tenant and landlord representation brokerage company.
Bill spent numerous years on the Board of Trustees of Mount Bethel Christian Academy, assisting in the acquisition, zoning and planning of a new high school.
Bill earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Washington & Lee University. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and Urban Land Institute. While a broker, Bill was honored as a Top Retail Broker in Metro Atlanta three times.
