Jack Halpern serves as Chairman of Halpern Enterprises, Inc., where he has been employed since 1978. He is a native of Atlanta and a graduate of The Westminster Schools, Harvard College, and the University of Georgia Law School.
Jack has served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of The Epstein School and of The Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta, as Co-Chair of the Board of The Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta, and on the boards of the American Jewish Committee, the Anti-Defamation League, and numerous other non-profit organizations. He was the founding Chairman of the Doraville Downtown Development Authority and was named 2015 Citizen of the Year by the City of Smyrna, GA.
Jack and his wife, Lynne, have three children, Beth (married to Dr. Gavin Brown), Benjamin (married to Caroline) and Rachel (married to Chris Hoffmeister), along with three grandchildren, Zachary and Zoe Brown, and Molly Halpern. Outside of work and his community activities, Jack enjoys biking, golf, traveling and playing with his grandchildren.
